先祖供養（Ancestral memorial services）
先祖供養とは、亡くなった先祖に対して敬意を払い、供養を行うことです。
仏教では、死後も魂が存在すると信じられ、先祖の魂を慰めるために祈りや供物が捧げられます。
お墓参りや法要、家庭での仏壇への供物などが一般的な供養の方法です。
先祖供養は、先祖に感謝の気持ちを表し、家族や子孫の繁栄を祈る重要な儀式とされています。
Ancestral memorial services (Senzokuyo) involve honoring and paying respects to deceased ancestors through rituals.
In Buddhism, it is believed that the soul continues to exist after death, and offerings and prayers are made to comfort their spirits. Common practices include visiting graves, holding memorial services, and offering food or items at home altars.
Ancestral memorial services are considered important as a way of expressing gratitude to ancestors and praying for the prosperity of family and descendants.

建立位牌の一例
永代献燈籠
●日牌(にっぱい)・月牌(がっぱい)供養
高野山での供養は毎月の勤行、毎日の勤行の2種類があります。
毎月の供養を月牌、毎日の供養を日牌と言います。
お客様のご予算、ご都合に合わせて供養致しますので、御安心ください。
また、以前お申し込みされて、今回年忌にあたるお客様には1ヶ月前までにお葉書でお知らせ致します。
年忌回向でお越しの方におかれましては、御供養料の規定はございませんので、お気持ちお包みください。
●永代供養
永代供養は熊谷寺が無くならない限り、高野山が無くならない限り毎日お経を唱えさせていただく供養です。
過去帳記載や位牌建立などによって供養料が変わりますので、前もってご質問ください。
◆過去帳記載
本堂正面に安置された過去帳に戒名等を記載し、永代に読経を聞いていただく供養です。
◆位牌建立
本堂奥に位牌を建立し、永代に読経を聞いていただく供養です。
◆永代献燈籠（永代消えずの燈籠）
燈籠に戒名等を刻み、円光堂に永代燈明が消える事なく灯す供養です。

Daily and monthly memorial services
There are two types of memorial services at Koyasan: monthly and daily.
Monthly memorial services are called monthly memorial services and daily memorial services are called daily memorial services.
Please be assured that we will conduct the memorial service according to your budget and convenience.
We will also send a postcard one month in advance to those customers who have previously applied for a memorial service and will be celebrating their annual anniversary this year.
For those who come for the annual memorial service, we do not have a provision for the memorial service fee, so please pay it with your own money.
Eternal memorial services
Eternal memorial services are memorial services in which sutras are recited daily as long as Kumagayadera Temple and Koyasan Mountain do not disappear.
The memorial service fee will vary depending on the entry in the past ledger and the construction of the memorial tablets, so please ask in advance.
Pastor's book
This is a memorial service in which the names of the deceased are entered in the past ledger book placed in the front of the main hall and sutras are recited in perpetuity.
Erection of Buddhist tablets
This is a memorial service in which the memorial tablets are erected in the back of the main hall and sutra readings are performed in perpetuity.
Eternal Offering Lantern (Lantern that will not disappear in perpetuity)
This is a memorial service in which the names of the deceased are engraved on the lantern and the light is kept burning in Enkodo for many years.
納骨供養（burial memorial service）
納骨供養の御紹介
●納骨供養からその後
当日皆様と共に法要を営んだ後、本堂右側にあります納骨棚にお預かりした日から1年を越えた次の春の彼岸まで ※注 御安置させていただきます。
お約束の春の彼岸1ヶ月前までにお葉書にてご案内致します。
春の彼岸を過ぎますと良い日を選んで、それまで1年間にお預かりしたお骨を本堂で供養後、奥の院燈籠堂へと持って行き、それ以降は弘法大師御廟横にある納骨堂へと納める事になります。
※注 (3/23以降に預かれば再来年の春の彼岸まで、3/23以前に預かれば来年の彼岸まで)
●納骨供養にご用意いただく物
◆服装
平服でも構いませんが、是非喪服でお願いします。
◆持参する物
(1)のど仏を入れたお骨。(大小あるうちの小さい方)
(2)亡くなった方の戒名(法名)、命日、俗名、享年が記された物。
(3)本尊様への御供え、献花、献酒はご自由です。
◆その他
本来、白木位牌は墓前に朽ちるまで置いておくもの、六角塔婆は墓地に刺しておくものです。
ただ、墓地の都合上どうしても置いておけないと言われる方は持参していただければ、お焚き上げさせていただきます。

After the Memorial Service
After the memorial service is held with everyone, the bones will be enshrined in the altar on the right side of the main hall until the next spring equinox, one year after the date of enshrinement.
We will notify you by postcard at least one month prior to the appointed spring equinox.
After the spring equinox, we will select a good day to hold a memorial service in the main hall and take the bones to the lantern hall in the inner sanctuary, after which they will be placed in the ossuary next to Kobo Daishi's mausoleum.
After that, they will be placed in the ossuary next to the Kobo Daishi Gobyo (mausoleum).
What to prepare for the memorial service
Clothing
(Plain clothes are acceptable, but please wear mourning clothes.
Things to bring
(1) Bones with the throat bone in them. (The smaller of the two)
(2)A piece of paper with the deceased's name, date of death, family name, and year of death written on it.
(3)You are free to make offerings to the principal image, offer flowers, and offer sake.
◆Others
Originally, wooden tablets are to be left in front of the grave until they decay, and hexagonal pagodas are to be placed in the cemetery.
However, if you cannot leave them in the cemetery, please bring them with you and we will burn them.
