○ペット供養の御紹介
古来より鳥獣供養とも言われ、生き物の命を奪って生きる糧とする人間が、奪った命の供養にとされたのが始まりです。
奥の院参道には「しろあり」「ふぐ」などの供養塔も建っております。
命に重い、軽いの区別はなく、全ての生きとし生けるものは平等であるとの考えから、最近では家族同然に育った愛玩動物達の供養も増えてまいりました。
熊谷寺も例外ではなく、ペットの供養も分け隔てなく受付させていただきますので、どうぞお越しください。
供養に際しては日牌・月牌供養と同じです。

○Introduction to Pet Memorial Services
Since ancient times, this memorial service has also been called a “bird and animal memorial service,” and was originally intended as a memorial service for the lives taken by people who take the lives of living creatures for their sustenance.
There are memorial towers for “Shiro-ari” and “fugu” (blowfish) on the approach to the inner sanctuary.
Recently, the number of memorial services for pet animals that have grown up like family members has been increasing, based on the belief that there is no distinction between heavy and light lives, and that all living creatures are equal.
Kumagai-ji Temple is no exception, and we accept memorial services for pets without distinction.
The memorial service for pets is the same as the memorial service for daily and monthly tablets.
